I have been a woodturner for over 25 years, which started as a hobby and has progressed beyond that. As I have been an instructor for most of my working life, it seemed natural to continue this. I then started teaching woodturning at adult education colleges and did this for over 18 years. I enjoyed passing my knowledge on to others. Of course, I also teach in my own workshop on a one-to-one basis which is something I enjoy doing the most. I’ve received great pleasure giving demonstrations at woodturning clubs around the country, and got a huge amount of satisfaction from passing on my knowledge to others in the audience. Having now retired from giving demonstrations, I still teach on a one-to-one basis. Please look at my tuition page. I am a member of two woodturning clubs but also enjoy visiting others. The Surrey Association of Woodturners is the club that I am very involved with, having been part of the committee and held different roles over the years. I am also a member of the Dorset Woodturners Association. Sign up to my Newsletter
